Financial Planning for Recession with Jackie Porter

Listen to this episode on Apple Podcasts or Spotify

It seems to be almost impossible these days to avoid the news that a recession is imminent. Economists, business leaders, journalists, podcast hosts… they are all talking about the economic downturn happening now.

One of the most interesting things occurring is a lack of understanding around what a recession actually is or what it means (specifically, for you).

The definition of recession has been – and continues to be – misunderstood, joked about, and glossed over, depending on the circumstances.

And, I would hazard a guess that the average person could not define what a recession is or what the indications of a recession are, despite all the talk that is out there.

Whether you are a positive thinker and a glass-half-full person or tend towards the Chicken Little, glass-half-empty way of thinking, being aware of what a recession could possibly mean for you is vitally important – now, more than ever.

Knowing what your options are, what you need, and what you should be focusing on from a financial standpoint (whether you are leading a business, leading yourself, or leading a family), could be the difference between coming out of the crisis with your head above water and drowning.

My guest this week, Jackie Porter, a dear friend and brilliant Financial Advisor, returns to the show to talk about what a recession really is, what it means, how we know when we’re in one,  and what she believes everyone should be thinking about (when it comes to their personal finances) now.

So many of us are lacking knowledge when it comes to our personal finances, let alone the financial well-being of anything beyond that.

This conversation is a straightforward primer for all of us when it comes to understanding finances in economic crisis, and what we can do to ensure we escape these moments as unscathed as possible

I’d love for you to join us for this important conversation around finances and what is happening now.
