Still Talking: 100 Episodes In and Why the Conversations Still Matter
Almost five years ago, I hit record for the first time. It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t planned. And I had no idea I’d still be doing this, a hundred episodes later.
I had no plan for this to be a long-term thing. It was just a response to a world in crisis, to leaders navigating uncertainty, to the silence around the how of leading when everything felt like it was falling apart.
But here we are.
100 episodes. Countless conversations. And so many more stories left to tell.
Why keep going?
Because the world isn’t any less complex. The pace of change hasn’t slowed down. And the need for human, nuanced, honest leadership? That need is still as urgent as ever.
And frankly, I still love these conversations. Whether it's with someone I’ve known for years or someone I just met, something happens when we make space for real talk — not just about work or leadership theory but about how we’re actually navigating the mess and magic of being human while trying to lead ourselves and others.
Here’s the thing about crisis:
It’s not always dramatic. It’s not always global. Sometimes, crisis is just the moment when the story you’ve been telling yourself no longer fits.
That’s what I’ve learned doing this show: the most powerful leadership conversations aren’t about having all the answers; they’re about asking better questions. About noticing the patterns. About showing up honestly when it would be easier to perform or pretend.
So, what’s in this episode?
I’m not going to spoil it here. If you’ve been listening, you already know the kinds of places we go. If you’re new, welcome. This one is a bit of a love letter, a reflection, a thank-you, and maybe a nudge for your own journey.
But more than anything, this episode is a reminder that leadership isn’t about being unshakeable. It’s about being real, especially in times of change.
Like my work, this podcast has always been about creating space. For voices that don’t always get heard. For perspectives that challenge the status quo. For conversations that make us pause and pay attention.
So, with that in mind, I’m going to keep showing up for the conversations that matter. With people who are curious, human, and unafraid to go deep. I’m always open to hearing from you — the listeners, the lurkers, the fellow leaders who are navigating your own journeys through challenge and change.
If you’ve ever shared an episode, reached out, rated the show, or told someone about it, thank you. If you’ve been silently listening from the sidelines, thank you (the quiet support counts, too).
This is a labor of love, in the best way. I don’t take for granted that I get to do this. That people trust me with their stories. That listeners keep tuning in. That our audience keeps finding us. Five years later.
And I’m endlessly grateful for it all.
And so we keep going — listening, learning, and leading through whatever comes next.
Because the conversation isn’t over. It’s just getting deeper.
